Written by Danielle Abrams, Wrangled by Ryn Hodes
Performed by Danielle Abrams, Pamela Booker, Briyana Davis, Imani Henry, Franny Silverman, Pamela Sneed, and Nyx Zierhut

A 25-minute performance in which a hiring committee of puppets that represent black art world notables and politicos as well as my Jewish grandparents, vocalize their myriad viewpoints about my suitability for a job.  They duel over their suspicions about my black legitimacy and allegiance to the race. Each committee member has different ideas about what it means to be really black.  They argue about tokenism, skin color, using the N-word, and partriarchal privilege thus revealing the intricate complexity of black identity.
