Word Watch, 2013
Presented by Salette Gressett and Curated by Danika Druttman
I was invited by the Roger Smith Hotel to use their Window at 125 as a "condensed studio", in which over a two-week period, I would create a work from beginning to end. I treated the "window" as a writer's residency, and wrote a daily blog that was created from watching the rhythms of NYC's Midtown East and its people. In turn, pedestrians witnessed my process of generating words, editing, and deleting on a monitor in the window that was connected to my computer. My "live writing" was also streamed to the Roger Smith website.
